Syed Ahsan

SYED AHSAN works with Ascender's font development team to test the quality and performance of fonts for its various customers, including the range of multilingual fonts for Microsoft's international products.

Since 1998 Syed Ahsan has been extensively involved in software testing and quality assurance for a wide variety of software and hardware products. With a background in printing and computer software, he has become quite proficient in the systems and procedures involved with font software engineering, developing and testing.

The past few years Syed has been working with Microsoft's Windows Globalization group and the Global Infrastructure and Font Technology group assisting as a Software Test Engineer. He also worked with Hewlett-Packard through the product life cycle of Windows XP Professional on HP inbox printer driver testing.

Syed is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer and has been certified in both Database Management Systems and XML Standards and Technologies. When he is not working with fonts, he enjoys reading books and touring the scenic Northwest and Canadian territories.
